This beautiful and historic site offers a unique dining experience
every time our guests visit. The Tekarra Restaurant boasts intensely
loyal clientele, which includes Jasper locals, perennial vacationers
and has had the pleasure
of serving such celebrities as Marilyn Monroe, Elke Sommer and
John Travolta just to name a few.
As warm and inviting as it is quaint, the Tekarra Restaurant became an instant favourite the day it opened its doors in 1952. Much of the recent credit belongs to Chef David George Husereau and his team of skilled chefs.
A world of experience and a fresh culinary approach are what Chef David George
Husereau brings to the Tekarra Restaurant. Our Alberta born Chef Husereau heard
the culinary call at a young age of only 13. Since then he has gathered experience
and expertise for over 20 years in some of Canada's finest restaurants and
hotels. He has also had the good fortune of joining some great chefs in places
such as Maui, Hawaii and on different assignments around the globe. In the
winter of 2001 he traveled as an ambassador with the Hawaiian Visitors and
Convention Bureau heading a crew of 20 chefs at the Ritz Taichung in Taipei,
Taiwan.
We assure you that from the moment our guests step through the front door until their last bite of crème brulee, the Tekarra Restaurant is an experience to remember.
